Leaders pour la paix

On November 6, former Guinean Prime Minister Kabiné Komara was elected President of the Board of
Directors of the prestigious « Global Fairness Initiative » (GFI), succeeding Danilo Türk, former President
of Slovenia and former Secretary-General of the United Nations. The GFI, established by former US
President Bill Clinton in 2012, aims to promote equity and sustainable development in developing
countries. Board members unanimously chose Mr. Kabiné Komara due to his deep understanding of
development issues, integrity, and international reputation. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to
Mr. Clinton and the outgoing board members, promising to mobilize more resources to expand the
foundation’s activities, enhance its visibility, and implement projects promoting equity, inclusion, and
social justice. He considers this responsibility a great honor for his country, Guinea.
